WANTED: Part-time Web Editor, IPS

Inter Press Service (IPS) news agency, which focuses on development issues and the global South, is looking for a part-time web editor.

The part-time web editor for ipsnews.net would be responsible for the overall quality and accuracy of the site and the presentation of all content. She/he would work under the direct supervision of the technical director for technical matters; with the supervision of and in coordination with the editor-in-chief on editorial matters; and in collaboration with the projects department, in the common goal of optimising the use of the
existing IPS content to increase our audiences.

We are looking for a proactive web editor, with an eye for detail and passion for news, able to propose web initiatives aiming at maximising our impact in the Internet. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, Spanish proficiency preferred, and skills in other languages an advantage. Previous experience in web content creation is also a plus. He/she would be working four hours a day. (Remuneration: US$13,800 annually).
