The National Centre for Advocacy Studies (NCAS) in Pune, India, is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated person who is committed to rights, equity and justice with a particular focus on the marginalised sections of the society to fill the post of Executive Director. NCAS is a membership-based social change resource centre that aims at strengthening rights-based and people-centred advocacy, so as to empower people who are struggling for the creation of a just and human society. The applicant should be a committed and experienced social activist/development professional/scholar with a strong rights-based and people-centred perspective, and familiarity with people's issues like livelihood rights, just governance and social exclusion. The applicant should have the ability to lead a team of young committed activists and professionals; extensive networking skills and the willingness to work in collaboration with peoples' organisations, civil society organisations, policy makers, media and academicians. The candidate must have a postgraduate degree in Social Sciences/Human Rights/Law or other related field, with significant and credible experience of advocacy, capacity building, campaign initiatives, networking, research and working with the media.
